I. Introduction#
This article only represents personal opinions, and the content is time-sensitive, so the accuracy of the information is not guaranteed.
II. Application#
This Guangfa card is the second American Express type card I applied for. Since it is a debit card, there are no application thresholds. It took only 5 days from application to activation, and the delivery was via EMS postal service.
First, download the official Guangfa Bank app, search for the American Express debit card, and the American Express Lucky debit card will pop up. Click in, fill out the relevant information, and submit. After the card is mailed to your home, take your ID card to a physical Guangfa Bank branch for activation (different branches may require other materials; students may need a student ID).
Find the staff at the counter and inform them that you want to activate the debit card, then show your bank card and ID card. At this point, they will ask you what you want to activate this card for, whether you have a job, etc... Just answer truthfully. The staff will take you to the machine for self-service activation, but I was quite unlucky; the self-service activation machine could not find my application for this Guangfa Bank card, so I had to call a number to activate it at the counter. In total, it took about 2 hours, but I finally succeeded in activating it. After activation, the card defaults to a wealth management card, which is a type of card.
III. Usage#
This card has a foreign currency pre-authorization freeze fee of about 120%, and it takes almost a month to unfreeze it.
